2022 年 2 月 7 日 - 查爾斯頓學院任命 Michelle Purghart 博士為查爾斯頓學院的新任校長。
Purghart 博士將於今年 7 月從奧地利維也納加入查爾斯頓學院，她目前擔任多瑙河國際學校的校長。在她在奧地利工作之前，Purghart 博士曾在加利福尼亞州帕薩迪納的 Maranatha 高中和加利福尼亞州格倫代爾的聖家高中大學預科擔任校長。在擔任領導職務之前，Purghart 博士曾擔任過教師、教練、編舞和課程開發工作。

New Head of School Announcement
February 7, 2022 - Charleston Collegiate School names Dr. Michelle Purghart as the new Head of Charleston Collegiate School.
Dr. Purghart will be joining Charleston Collegiate School this July from Vienna, Austria, where she currently serves as Head of School at the Danube International School. Prior to her time in Austria, Dr. Purghart held principalships at Maranatha High School in Pasadena, California, and Holy Family High School College Preparatory in Glendale, California. Prior to her leadership roles, Dr. Purghart worked as a teacher, coach, choreographer, and in curriculum development.
With more than 25 years of independent school experience and almost 30 years in education, Dr. Purghart is recognized for her ability to implement major financial and academic change and has been credited with revitalizing the schools in her charge. Her many accomplishments include the creation of a science and arts academy, leading rebranding efforts, successful fundraising campaigns, and helping her institutions become schools of choice in their communities. Dr. Purghart has also been a speaker at various conferences, such as the IB Global Conference, ACSI, AATE, and NCTE.
The current Head of School, Dr. Bob Veto, is retiring after working in education since 1975 including two and a half years as the Head of School for Charleston Collegiate.
Dr. Purghart stated, “Dr. Bob Veto is leaving behind a treasure of a school. We are all indebted to him for strengthening and guiding the school for the last few years. I look forward to exploring all the possibilities for the next era of CCS and know the future is bright.”
